Reflections From Around The Country
Amy Bladen - Prestwich
'Our Hope08 event was amazing, I kept seeing faces there that I didn't even know how they'd heard about it, it was just so popular'.
Ann Warboys - Thrapston
‘We have had an incredible year. We all needed something like Hope '08 to give us 'passport' to do what many of us were longing to do-that is to reach out to one another and to the wider community. All of this has helped us as individuals to grow, but also as a result, our working/worshipping/loving has been with the other church denominations. Wonderful! All, only with the power, grace and Love from God.
Becky Coster - Bedford
It has been a good year and we're pleased with where we have got to. The biggest event of the year was a RE:ACT fun day which was hugely successful. Without Hope 08 this would never have happened.
Bob Duerden - Hull
God has blessed in so many ways in this area, though. We have been reliably informed that while we have been praying and working together crime in the City has dropped by a significant amount. There is a good sense of 'something is going on' in the area.
Edmund Phillimore - Frome
Overall we have been greatly encouraged by all that has been done this year, including establishing links with the police. We believe it is an answer to group prayer for Frome over several years.
Jan Kirkham - Isle of Man
Thanks for all your amazing hard work! You have been wonderful to work with and I’m going to miss you guys, but trust our paths will cross again in ‘09 and beyond! Our last Hope08 event is an all Island open air nativity at 4:30pm on Christmas eve. All ‘actors’ are ‘seekers’ and all Christians will be behind the scenes setting up and serving. We have had many Hope08 events and have seen much fruit - and hope there will be much more to come!
Marion Barker
Thank the Lord for Hope08 - it has been the best thing that has happened across the country since I can't remember when!!
Rachael Laird - North Witney
''we are very much looking to carry on with what we started and to build on the success and to make an impact into our town.''
