 Summer Activities
Summer 2008 will be a busy time for the Church of England with the plans for the Lambeth Conference in July. This will lead to 1000's of Anglican Bishops and their wives visiting communities across the UK. At a political level the G8 Conference to be held in Lake Toya in Hokkaido in Japan will provide a focus for the Micah challenge to ensure that childrens needs are brought to the fore. There will also be a sporting Summer starting with the Euro 2008 football tournament in July (despite the fact that none of our national teams are taking part) followed by the Beijing Olympics in August and then the Paralympics in September after which the countdown for 2012 begins.
