Working with the authorities
Over the years, great partnerships have been built between the Church and the authorities as a result of HOPE activity. Many local HOPE teams have been working very well with the council and police and will testify of positive relationships that they never could have dreamed of.
If both HOPE and the local council agree to work in partnership, even bigger changes can be accomplished and each part can profit from the other. Since the local government often shares common objectives, much more can be achieved and the results can be a blessing to the whole community.
HOPE 08 worked with key partner organisations to establish links with police forces across the UK through the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) and as part of the Neighbourhood Policing Programme and established Principles for best practice in partnership.
