Meet the HOPE staff team

Roy Crowne

Roy was the National Director of Youth for Christ in Britain and now he leads the team at HOPE together. Roy is married to Florence (Flossie) and they have two sons, John and Michael. Roy has written and edited a peer-to-peer evangelistic training course, called 'The Art of Connecting'. He was one of the founders of HOPE 08. He is definitely the most positive and enthusiastic HOPE visionary you could ever meet.

 

Yemi Adedeji

Pastor Yemi Adedeji has been Pastoral aide to the Senior Pastor at Jesus House since 2004, fostering ecumenical engagement and external relations for the Redeemed Christian Church of God. He now works as Associate Director for HOPE part-time. In his role he is bringing churches of different traditions and cultures together. He is married to Simi and is blessed with 4 young daughters. Phil Timson

Phil is a passionate youth evangelist who is committed to seeing the Church working together through word and action mission. Phil leads Hope Revolution which brings together many youth agencies to encourage youth to be missional. As a recently ordained minister with 15 years youth work experience, Phil is excited about the challenge. Phil is married to Emma, with two young girls, and lives in Peterborough. He is loving working with others with a heart for young people, up and down the country.

Catherine Butcher
Catherine Butcher is passionate about communications. She heads up the communications teams for HOPE. She trained as a newspaper journalist and has an MA in Christian Spirituality. She also works for the Christian Medical Fellowship and edits the Day by Day with God Bible reading series for women. Husband Adrian is also a journalist; they have two teenage children and live in Sussex.

Lucy Cooper
Lucy worked for the Evangelical Alliance Press Office for five years. She is part of the communications team and her role includes generating website content, placing articles, writing copy and co-ordinating story output and video. She is based in London 4 days a week and lives in Wimbledon. She would be so excited to hear about your mission activities and help you share your local HOPE stories, wherever you are from! 

 

Steve Gee

Steve trained and worked as a graphic designer for a number of years before sensing a call to church planting. In 2005 Steve, with his wife Tammy, started the Central Vineyard Church in Northampton with just 5 adults and 3 pre schoolers. The church is now a growing vibrant church made up of young professionals, students and families, with a strong focus on mission and outreach. Steve and Tammy have 3 young girls and Steve is based in the Rugby office part-time.  

 

Clive Price

Clive is a media consultant and freelance writer who works with HOPE and a number of other leading Christian organisations and charities. Clive is a qualified journalist, an experienced editor and a contributor to newspapers and magazines in the UK and Ireland. He has just written his first children's book The Wonder Tree, as a special commission for the international relief and development agency, World Vision.


Celeste Viggers
Celeste is Roy's personal assistant and deals with his correspondence, administration and diary. Celeste is bubbly and efficient, living and attending church in Rugby. She is enjoying being a part of the HOPE team at this exciting time.

Ian Chisnall

Ian is part-time coordinator for Church unity in Sussex, developing relationships between churches and creating links between churches and agencies such as Local Government, Police and the voluntary sector. Ian was national co-ordinator of HOPE 08 too. Ian is married to Jan and they have two grown up children. They are members of City Gate Church in Brighton.

 

Jean Sandercott
Flossie Crowne 

Jean and Flossie work in the office part-time as volunteers. They organise the detail and keep the office ticking over. Jean is married to Steve with two grown up sons, Michael and Timothy. Flossie is Roy’s wife. Jean and Flossie both live in Rugby and attend Bilton Evangelical Church.
