Making prayer a priority in 2012
Effective mission is embedded in prayer.
‘O that you would rend the heavens and come down’ (Isaiah 64:1). That is the cry of our hearts, responding to the call from God to pray in this time of shaking, financial uncertainty and moral and spiritual collapse.
We long for God to change things around. Our first and most vital call is to God for mercy and to spend time in prayer for our leaders, our friends & families, our churches, our communities, our nations and the world.
HOPE, alongside More than Gold, Alpha, 24-7, YWAM and many Church streams invite you to make 2012 a year jam packed full of prayer. 2012 is a unique year, with many big opportunities for local mission.
In June we will celebrate and pray for the Queen on her Diamond Jubilee, especially through the Big Lunch. 2,012 beacons will be lit and the Olympic Torch Relay will pass through over 1,000 communities and as we host the Olympic and Paralympic Games there will be countless opportunities to share the good news.
The call to prayer continues in September as we hold a HOPE prayer and fasting weeekend for the UK. From 7-9 September 2012. Book the date and plan to join in prayer with thousands of others around the country as we seek God and intercede for our nation. More information soon.
