Pastor Wunmi Oladunjoye, of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, started their Diamond Jubilee celebrations on London’s Old Kent Road by saying the Diamond Jubilee Grace before their buffet lunch. They used HOPE’s Big Thank You sheets so everyone could write a message of thanks or a prayer for the Queen, and they gave away copies of the Diamond Jubilee New Testament. Pastor Lola Ayeni, said: “Despite the rain, we had an amazing time... Everyone that got the Jubilee New Testaments was delighted with their gift.”
Pastor Lola Ayeni said: "We bless God for the diamond Jubilee celebrations, it was an enjoyable day for all despite the rain ,we had an amazing time with the church door open to all to come in from the neighbourhood.
We did several games which include a quiz based on how well do you know the Royal family , the winning team got a prize , we did muisical chairs, and dance competition for all ages ,food and jubilee bibles were distributed by dorcas ministry to the homeless.
"The highlight of the day for me was when I gave out my Jubilee bibles and a lady who was a bit drunk said please how can I become a christian? My heart just melted with Joy knowing that a soul will be won for Christ .
