In Macclesfield they held a ‘HOPE Christmas Wrap’ in their local shopping centre and offered to wrap people’s Christmas presents for free.
They also asked people if they had any prayer requests and took them to the prayer tree (not pear tree as some thought!). They received many requests for loved ones who were sick, who had just found out about having cancer, a daughter who has Parkinson’s disease, and many more tragic cases.
Many ministers from the town centre came down and had a great time of fellowship and shared with the shoppers the good news.
It was a great time and there was a real sense that the conversations and prayer requests wouldn’t have happened if they hadn’t been wrapping Christmas gifts and giving away leaflets with the Christmas message on.
